Graceful- and Yellow Spotted Honeyeater

Another pair of birds, which is difficult for me to visually separate in the field, although there is little difficulty to keep them apart when they call.

Here I show the comparison of two birds, which were positively identified by Del Richards, a very experienced North Queensland birding guide. (https://www.finefeathertours.com.au/). Thanks for your very helpful comments, Del!

I think, the subtle difference of the bill sizes show up in these photos. What is hard to show though is the difference in body size. This would only be possible when the camera position would not move as well as the birds perching at the same spot. I didn't have that scenario this time - maybe worth trying the next time. The Graceful Honeyeater is supposed to be the smaller and slimmer bird.

Grab the slider in the center and move it left/right to compare the birds.
