Tassie 2018/19

Tasmania 2018 - 2019

On December 22, 2018 I have packed up at work for retirement and on the next day we were on our way to Inala, Bruny Island.

It was a very emotional thing: We have spent many Christmas days at Inala and we have never been disappointed and so we thought this would be a great opportunity to slide into retirement and spend some time with our daughter Christine before heading back to Germany. we have enjoyed every second together on the Island.

Another highlight was definitely to go to Melaleuca and see the Orange Bellied Parrot once more, a rare bird fighting extinction.

Inala as such was a great place again, offering opportunities to relax and see and photograph birds. And - most importantly Hanna and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary on December, 28 with our good friend Tonia Cochran, the owner of Inala. We had a lovely dinner, some wine and a great time!

On January, 5 we left Bruny Island for Hobart to meet and say Good Bye to the Pitt family. There was some sadness in the air when saying "Good bye" to all these friends, but there is a clear intention to be back one day ...

Enjoy some of of my photos here!
